Hey there!
We are Rocky Legend Doodles, a small family-run business just a short drive away from the beautiful Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada, and we raise happy pups for happy families!
What we offer...
We produce English Goldendoodles, Aussiedoodles, and Double Doodles (all Mini & Multigen). They come in a variety of creams, apricot, occasionally parti's, chocolate/rust sables and black phantoms!
Each litter is like a box of chocolates -- a delightful surprise!
Why Doodles?
There are so many reasons why doodles are amazing, but one of our absolute favourite things about this breed and why we love providing families with them is because of their GOOFY nature, EXPRESSIVE faces, and LOYAL personalities. They are such fun-loving companions whose lives revolve around their people.
Small scale + homed based
Raising puppies is a lot of work, and we want to do it well, so our smaller size gives us the opportunity to fully commit ourselves to the full process of raising happy and healthy litters. You can typically expect 2-4 litters from us per year.
WE WANT OUR PUPS AS BALANCED AS POSSIBLE
In a lot of ways, an 8 week old puppy is like a blank canvas. What they can become is largely dependant & shaped by their family and the choices they make with them. At the same time, there is so much investment that can go into those first 8 weeks that will make them well-adjusted, confident, and ready to take on new challenges, and that’s a responsibility we take very seriously!
From daily stimulus & handling, exposure to new sights, sounds & experiences, to desensitization exercises, extensive grooming exposure, socialization with people of all ages (as well as mom and/or dad), litter box training and so much more! This all goes towards creating puppies that are ready for all the new things their future brings!
We continue to receive amazing feedback not only from RLD families but from vets, groomers and trainers on the benefits of this early imprinting and the difference it makes.
HOW WE RAISE HOLISTIC

Diet
Ever heard the quote: "All disease begins in the gut"? We know this to be true, which is why our foundation for raising as naturally as possible begins with feeding a primordial raw diet.
This is not only great for our parents health, but it passes nutrients and health benefits to the pups during pregnancy and when they’re still nursing.
When our litters begin weaning at around 4-5 weeks old, we start them on goats milk and Back to Basics raw pet food, and continue on the raw diet till Homing Day!
This great start gives our pups a huge leg up in their health picture, and we’ve heard amazing feedback from families marvelling at their pups health and the numerous benefits they have noticed on the raw diet.

Epigenetics
Epigenetics, in laymen’s terms, means the way you steward your dogs health.
A dogs genetics can be top-notch, but if you feed them a low-quality diet, don’t give them the proper mental and physical stimulation, their home environment is stressful, or you overwhelm their bodies with medications, environmental chemicals and unnecessary drugs—their good genetics won’t mean much. If they start with good genetics, but live their lives with poor epigenetics, their health will deteriorate quickly.
At Rocky Legend Doodles, we take into account ALL factors that lead to a long-lasting health picture, striving to keep our dogs immune systems strong and their healthy gut bacteria functioning well so that they don’t get sick in the first place.
A healthy dog is a strong dog—and more readily able to handle germs and bacterias that might adversely affect a dog with a compromised immune system.

Chemical free
Feeding raw isn't the only thing that makes us holistic breeders...
Everything from homeopathic remedies, natural and gentle dewormers through the food bowl, acupuncture if needed or helpful to a situation, nosodes, and a lifestyle free of chemicals and toxicity in food/treats/grooming/cleaning products, etc.
We take the responsibility of stewarding their health very seriously and are always finding ways to improve in giving these pups and their parents the best & cleanest lives possible. After all, they can’t make these decisions for themselves, so let’s choose right.

Apart from all that’s mentioned above, we also really care about the experience YOU will have in adding a furry friend to your life.
As people and as a business, it is our core value to be TRUSTWORTHY, INTEGRITY-FILLED, EASY to COMMUNICATE WITH and to provide you with an uplifting and positive experience.
We aren’t looking to simply make a sale, which is why we look into each application, follow through with FaceTime interviews, and make sure that the fit is right for EVERYONE -- you, us, and the puppy!
We don't believe in just providing you with a lovely companion, we want the process up to homing and beyond to be as seamless as possible, which is why we've worked tirelessly to provide all our families and our pups with what they need to succeed!
Bringing a puppy into your home and family is a very important and special decision, and we would be happy to see if we can be apart of that for you!
We're Ashley & Lauricia, the sister's behind RLD!
We began RLD with our mom, Barb, back in 2018, and have been spending every waking moment of our days with doodles ever since.
If it isn't dogs, we're probably hiking, gardening, cooking, or creating something! We quite literally can't stay away.
We're pretty funny people, so that also takes a lot of our time and energy ;)
